Well, the STR is coming up in Tallahassee in less than 10 days! I'm psyched, as my wife and I just got started with tandem cycling this year and I have never attended a rally with so many tandems. I'm looking forward to it - hoping the weather will cooperate. Should be fun!
I was wondering how many on this forum were planning to attend this event. Please respond on the forum with your names, type and color of bike and any other notable means of recognizing your team. I'd like to meet as many of you as possible.
My wife and I ride a small, medium-blue Co-Motion speedster with S&S couplers. We have a small "Share the Road" license plate with Debi & Steve on the back of our pack. See pic.

We will be there also. It will be our first tandem rally, we got our tandem the last weekend of August. It is a dark red CoMotion Speedster.
Don't have any pics posted except one we put on the "what do you ride" thread located in this forum.
We plan to be there for the early ride Friday and are looking forward to the experience.

We'll be there also, except I used to live in Tallahassee so my Mom and I are going there early to get some extra riding and visiting with friends and family that live there, so we'll be there from sunday the 26th of Oct thru the end of the rally..
We ride a green cannondale mt800, with red white and green handle bar tape, my Mom has cutoff kid's like bars on the back of the tandem, up front I run the normal drop bars, but we both have the same handle bar tape color...We have our name plate on the back from MTR this year, our names are Benjamin and Priscilla Lohrengel from beverly hills michigan, so you can look for that...We drive our tandem around in a red windstar, with many bumper stickers on the back of the van..
Looking forward to seeing you guy's all down there, I know it'll be fun!!...Oh and RdRunner, you'll have a blast if this is your first tandem rally, they are just great!! I remember our first rally was 2 years ago and it was the STR that was in clemson SC. we just loved it!!..Enjoy
Take care, and I hope everybody has a safe drive down there!!

My stoker tells me that it's all about love, trust, and commitment. I've stoked before and all I know is that without the love, trust and commitment weren't quite enough for me. Frankly, I don't know why Debbie enjoys it so much... there are times that I don't even like spending time with me.
One other wry view is explained in this article by Jim Riccitello...

Note: Gentle readers may wish to skip the article. Jim uses some rough language to describe his one-time gig as a stoker for Gord Fraser, e.g., Gord's tandem bi_ch. Jim's article is intended to be satire, but with an edge and from the perspective of a world-class triathelete who'd rather not be a tandem stoker ever again (it's a control thing).
