I won't be around for the next week, so you all have fun! I'm headed to Tennessee and Georgia. I signed up today, officially for Tour de Pike (http://www.kiwanispike.org/tourdepike.html) down in Concord, Ga. The $$ are paid! Woohoo!
I should get some good video of the event. I officially signed for the 66 mile ride, but if I feel up to it, I'll push on out to 100.
We leave in the EARLY morning, so be good!

Have fun and Good luck on pushing that 100.
Geez, Tom...you're down in my neck of the woods. In Tallahassee, we've got a good century coming up the last weekend of March, the Blue Line. Then, there's TOSRV South, a two-day double, the next weekend. We love us some century rides down hyar, y'all.
Growing up in Albany, Ga, I was happy to find an active, if small, cycling community that benefited from the large number of rural roads in the area. Even had a few hills, though mountains require some driving.
You REALLY should come down for the infamous Six-Gap on September 28, if you want Southern riding with some h-e-double-hockey-sticks-climbing thrown in for good measure. It's on the other end of Georgia, but it's still close enough for us to consider it "local." A few of us even do the Brasstown climb that weekend. Nothing like some Category 1 and HC climbs to wake up the old muscle fibers.

What's that one about? I haven't seen it on a rides list.
What else are you signing up for this spring/summer?
I'm riding the Tour de Cure, 7 Hills of Kirkland, Chelan Century Challenge, and StP (hopefully I have time for it). I still need to really figure out and manage a schedule to determine which rides I can hit in the fall... ECLBR, TRYBR, etc.

Sorry, that's my own private ride :p . It's the five times down 212th, along East Valley, up past Valley Medical, south on Benson, east on 192nd, south on 124th to home. Then, reverse five times. It's not quite a hundred miles, so that last leg has to go through Big Soos until 216th, up that hill, then north on 132nd, thence to home. Some killer bits on the last leg!
I should start one like that though! It's got a catchy name :D .
Let me see...Cinderella Classic down in California on April 5.
Tour de Pierce...Headwaters Century. There's a ride in Maupin, OR around Memorial Day I missed last year, and I want to do that one too. Oh, and the Kitsap Klassic!
I am always mulling about the STP. My husband has just changed his work hours so that he will be starting work at 6.00 am, instead of the absolutely horrible 8.00 pm to 4.30 am shift we are on now. I'll be working on joining him (he's going to a different facility) as soon as possible. I really can't stand the current hours.
Anyway, five rides so far. I was looking at the Seven Hills of Kirkland when I was at the Bike Expo, and decided it was a bit too much. The great thing about the Tour de Troublemaker is that I can poop out anywhere along it and not be more than five miles away from home :D .

Looks like it will be a great ride, Tom.
I like the setup between the 66 and 100, it really gives you the option.
Good luck, make sure to stop and see the sights.

I rode Blue Line in March. I am riding Six-Gap in September. I rode 90 miles today...I think it was with you.
