I've heard tale of such things that slip over Look cleats and allow you to walk half-way normal when you're off the bike. Didn't see anything like that in the latest Nashbar catalog. Will they fit in the accessory pouch of my CamelBack? Most importantly, where are they sold and how much?

Well, I guess most important would be if any of you have used them is, do they work?:)

Yup, I've got them. They're called "Kool Kovers". You can find them in the Performance catalog, or go towww.performancebike.com (http://www.performancebike.com) .

I've actually never used them. I bought them for walking around before and after road races, but kept on forgetting to bring them with me, so can't help you on that one.

The cost $9.99, and are small enough to fit mostly anywhere.

I use them every day. I put them on my cleats when I get to my office building, and use them to walk into the building, onto the elevator, and to my department. I take my cycling shoes off when I'm at my desk, where I change into a pair of $20 dress shoes that I keep there.

Get them and use them! I have had a pair for some time but only put them on for extended walking. After wearing down a pair of cleats too far and ruining a pair of shoes, I took D*Alex' advice. Mine are now on my shoes any time I am off the bike or in my jersey pocket when I am riding. I don't walk 10 feet without them anymore.
