Safe and secure if I'm planning on running it with an innertube inside (i.e., not tubeless)? Or will my bike spontaneously explode?

I have a extra set of UST tires and a buddy in need of some new tread on his non-UST ride.

Couldn't find this particular combo in search..

god help you if you want to remove it.

UST tires tend to grip a bit tighter.

i knew someone would say something :)

i was building it up at the time with spare parts i had kickin around, and only had a front brake at the time, didnt ride it like that for too long though... It now has a rear brake :)

no problem. as one poster mentioned, it might be tough to get them on/off, but once you get used to it you'll be fine...

That shouldn't be a problem for me. One of the reasons these have become an extra set for me is because the bead has gotten loose somehow and doesn't seem to want to seat unless it has a tube inside it.
