Already stated my preference.
Also posted in the Southeast Forum.
I already voted in the Southeast section. Why is West Virginia in the Northeast section?

If the West Coast (with what, 6 states?) can have 3 forums, then the east Coast should have at least the same...
I think New England/Mid-Atlantic/Southeast makes sense.
People would have an easier time visiting multiple forums if in a border state than digging through many messages related to issues 6 hours or more driving distance away...
When I just looked, the first message relate to PA was the 11th down the list.
I think that it also makes sense to include some states in multiple categories... For example, Virginia could be in both Mid-Atlantic and Southeast...
But, for historical dividing lines, I think there are relatively obvious dividing lines:
6 New England States = New England
The rest of the current Northeast forum would be Mid-Atlantic.
Everything below the Mason-Dixon line would be in Southeast.
This would lead to a few states being in two different forums, but usage would dictate over time where someone in those border states preferred to post.

Maryland is the first state south of the Mason-Dixon line, but it and DC are almost universally referred to as being in the "mid-Atlantic" region. PA and VA sometimes get the "mid-Atlantic" appellation, too.
