Touring - A question about rigid disc brake forks

I know I just posted about buying a touring bike but I realized that I could easily turn my mountain bike into a touring bike. Right now I have full panniers and a rear rack on it, what I would want is a front rack on it as well. Right now the bike has a cheap suspension fork on it with no lock out, so you really lose alot of power on the hills because of the fork bouncing, what I want is a strong rigid fork with disc mounts, it must also have mounts for some type of racks and be 1 1/8" threadless steerer. Anyone know where I can find one, cheap perferably.

Check out the price of a fork from one of the many small bike companies in Canada, like Marinoni. They are surprisingly good value, and a touring fork, made from touring steel like Reynolds 531 will be far more comfortable than a massive off-road ridgid fork.

Yes a road fork would be nice, but I need to have tabs so I can mount disc brakes, since that is what I have on the bike.

Check out a cyclocross fork, they probably make rigid ones and some 'Cross bikes use disc brakes. Can't help you there cause I don't do 'Cross but I have followed a little of their technology when looking into commuting bikes.
