When you buy a rear or front derailleur brand new how far are the set screws usually backed off from all the way in?

It shouldn't really matter, since you will need to move them based on your own drivetrain and chainline.

Yeah I know that it is more of a curiousity question. One of those things I would like to know. I know. I am wierd like that.
