You've come across the phenomenon of riding aerobically versus riding anaerobically. It all has to do with our aerobic mindset where we always try to pace ourselves and save ourselves for the long haul. Even when faced with an interval type of riding sequence we will tend to not give it our all.

That or you just might suck.

On behalf of Saving Trail Users (from) Potentially (and) Inherently Dangerous, Aggressive (and) Silly Stunts (S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S.) I would like to take 'credit' for the responsible work that was performed on the **Insert trail name***. The so-called 'interesting features' that you refer to were extremely dangerous and someone was bound to get hurt. We at S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S. felt that it would be irresponsible for us to leave these 'features' in place knowing that you mountain bikers cannot be trusted to make safe choices for yourself.

Case in point... Just the other day, a member of S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S. observed two riders sitting on their bikes in the **Insert name of trail head** parking area. Neither of the two riders were wearing helmets but had instead decided to hold the helmets in their hands while conversing about drugs, rock'n roll or whatever it is that mountain bikers typically discuss. Even though these two obviously drugged-out riders were just sitting there, one or both could have fallen over and suffered a substantial head injury. Unbelievably careless!

We really hope that you will understand that S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S. is your friend and Saviour. We are only trying to protect you from yourself. In the future, when you see a S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S. member out there making your trails safe, please greet them with a simple "Hello S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S" instead of the typical "Hey S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S., what in the hell are you doing?".

Thank you for your S.T.U.P.I.D.A.S.S. support.
