I'm going to buy a new fork to replace my Rock Shox Jett. I've decided on the manitou SXR because it's cheap, it's got shorter travel, and its rated really high on MTBR. I found the 2000 and 2001 models for almost the same price online. Both are new and would be under warranty. I wonder if I should opt for the older model only because more people have been able to attest to its durability and you have the long-time owners who have really put it to the test. Or should I go with the newer model...it's reviewed highly, but not quite as high as the 2000 model. I think the internals are all pretty much the same. Is the newer model always the improved model with manitou?
