sorry, i'm at work and this computer won't let me post images...

anyways, i'm interested in hearing from those of you who have ridden a 29 inch wheel. not this specific bike, although that would be great, but i just want to know how big of a difference it makes with a bigger wheel. i mostly want a kick around town, light trail, goof off spring and summer bike. is this a good fit?

right now i'm riding a road bike converted to a fixed gear, and i'm ready for a change...

Thanks!

mtbr.com has a great 29er forum. You can find it here: http://forums.mtbr.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61

^waaaay too much koolaid over there.

to the OP, it makes little difference. In large to xl sized frames, you feel like you are sitting more in the bike than on top of it. the wheels are a bit heavier, and bikes keeps its mo' a bit longer. it feels more stable at high speeds, and I think this has to do with a lower center of gravity relative to the axle .

Not that big a deal though. I feel I just fit better on a 29er mtb. I am a lanky 6'2''

If you plan on doing tricks, urban, etc.. you might opt for the 26'' mtb. shorter wheelbase and the ability to run stronger wheels.
