Road Cycling - Where do i find a training routine for the winter on a trainer?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Where do i find a training routine for the winter on a trainer? I have the feeling that just getting on it and pedaling for a while isnt exactly time well spent. I want to be much much stronger next year and race a little bit. Are there any books or websites that go into trainer training as opposed to outdoor cycling.
A good website for general trainer training is: www.bicycling.com
If you search, I posted a number of articles on different trainer workouts/approaches last winter. I know they're still here.

These are the two that are directly related to just trainer riding:

Here's another old link I found floating around on the forum. The site has a new update for this month. I personally don't like the workouts, but you might be able to get some ideas from here.

You can also try the Reoch Zonneveld Indoor Cycling Training Program: A Complete Indoor Cycling Training Program For Winter Cycling Fitness. Edited by Steve Mailman.
I can't remember where I got my copy from, somewhere on the internet I think. It is a spiral bound book with 50 1-hour trainer work-outs. It's designed to be done by starting on the first Tuesday in December and ending at the end of March, doing work-outs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But they can be done in any order.
I haven't really used it much since I live In Southern California and can ride outside most of the year......except when the smoke from the fires is as thick as it has been the last few days.
