Foo - A Milestone

After I left a message in "The Song Name Game" I decided for no particular reason to look at my message count. The last time I remember was some time in the past going past 3,000 messages.

When I looked, the message count read 3,999 I thought that it was an interesting twist of fate that I get to choose my 4,000th message.

So, with no further ado, here is message # 4,000.

I would like to thank the patient people of foo for my recent spike in message volume... I couldn't have done it so quickly without you!

I would also like to say, along with all of my gratitude, I also pile upon you, the monsters of foo, all of the blame for my wasted time!!! ;)

Now, like Roberto Clemente, I will fade off with a nice round number.

I thought Foo posts don't count toward your message total. It's the only conceivable way I can imagine that my total is still in the low 200s after well over two years.

it seems you are correct, my post count does not increase when posting in foo.

I feel cheated.

Maybe if I go somewhere and start a thread that will be moved to foo...

Well, I did the "real" 4,000 I think in General Cycling. I was composing a response to someone who needed some encouragement to go into his LBS to ask why he didn't get a promised discount. And I suddenly realized that I was using my # 4,000 and noted it in the message.

So it went with a fizzle instead of a bang.

Thanks for letting me know that nobody is real in Foo.... That way I won't feel as guilty for wasting everyone's time.
