Foo - Calling all Students!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm working on a PhD in history at Texas. My dissertation is on the relationship of nationalism, imperialism, and science in 19c. Central America.
EDIT: I will make my fortune with my first popular history book "Pirates vs. the Inquisition," unsurprisingly, it will be about pirates who went before the Inquisition. Look for it in bookstores near you (in 15 or 20 years).

Started as an illustration major at CCA, dropped out, took a year off, did computer science part time at CCSF, transferred to UC Berkeley. A little over a year left for the BA in cognitive science.
I'm a senior in highschool. My college will be either TCU, Tennessee, or (if I get in) Virginia Tech or James Madison. I'm planning either bio, microbio, or nutrition/dietetics, and will maybe go on to an accredited naturopathic school.

Cool, another Athabascan :) I am working on my BA in Psychology (Athabasca U at Mount Royal College in Calgary). Right now I am supposed to be studying for midterm in Biological Psychology...
Edit: this is a second BA (first one was in Classics) because it took me a while to figure out what to do when I grow up. I'm planning on doing the Athabasca/U of C Master's program in Counselling.
Earth science student, specialising in geology, and more specifically quaternary geology, which around here pretty much deals with clay, till, sand, peat bogs and stuff like that. But I plan to add two years of "hard rock" geology as well, after the quaternary.

If I stay at UNH, I'll probably major in economics or something like that. Probably minor in physics.
If I don't go to UNH, I'll have a hybrid of economics, physics, and maybe law.

I don't know about that. I've been to Bloomington many times and I can safely say that the culture/feeling of Purdue and IU are very different. I prefer Purdue's climate/culture over IU's.

I am a senior at Western Illinois University majoring in Elementary Education. I will be student teaching in the fall. Hopefully, I will be completely certified and able to substitute teach shortly after Thanksgiving. I hope to teach middle school science once I get a permanent position.
This is my third college after stints at the University of Iowa and getting an associates in automotive technology from a community college. I just decided the fixing cars was not for me so I decided to go back to school.
