Has anyone done it before? I know it's possible, but I couldn't seem to find wrench flats on the cones. Locknut and washer came off fine, but the cone appeared to be all the way round. Am I missing something?

You didn't have trouble getting the caps off? I had to borrow a tool from coelcanth to get mine off and it still was a struggle. I won the pedals on eBay. I found fresh grease when I took the caps off, so I put them back on.

That reminds me, I need to send that tool back to him.

No, the caps weren't too tight, so a pair of vice grips did the trick. The grease was nearly nonexistent, but the real problem is that there's too much play in the pedal.

Come on, I can't believe no one on here has done this before...
