I sold the Blindside, building something a bit more versatile.

There will always be regret, but once you get the new rig, it will go away.

Smashy is right. I missed my AS-X mightily; but the Gran Mal, when it was all done, took away the sting.

Decided to do it differently this time: going to be sure I have a rideable Blindside before I go to sell the other in earnest. Cut it tooooooo close the last time.

I had some great bikes over the years. There's only one that I don't regret getting rid of at all though, that is that dmr I had. I didn't like it, was never able to get it setup to how I like it, the whole bike just felt slow to me.

The teasing didn't bother me, was just never able to get the angles set correctly, regardless of what I tried, it always felt like I was too far over the front of the bike, and that was including a hope headset(High Stack Height), 50mm stem, 3" rise bars and saddle slammed and it still felt like I was too far forward over the bars.

I still have my first MTB from a few years ago in the shed - i still use it. However, it has to go, im regretting the thought of it already =[

I really don't miss my old bikes much, it seems like the technology rollover every few years makes me ok with parting with the old.

Doesn't surprise me; they must ride differently over there. They don't even drive on the correct side of the road :D

Because he's a kid that works in a bike shop.

He buys everything at employee rate and the turns around and sells it for a profit, funding his next purchases. It's not the spirit of the employee purchase programs but there is really no way for manufacturers to prevent kids from abusing the system.

Quick to make assumptions right? And no, I don't make a profit. I sold my Blindside frame/ROCO WC/headset/SRS chain guide/Thomson seatpost/Hadley rear axle/Hope QR clamp for $975. I'm sure anyone on this forum that works at a shop will attest that this is way below wholesale.

I also just sold my wheelset (Hadleys laced to Atomlab Pimps with Atomlab Torque Nipples) for $350, which is far below dealer cost, again, anyone in the industry can confirm this.

Set of 7" Avid Juicy 5's for $55. Again, waaay below cost.

2007 Marzocchi 888 RC2X World Cup, $650. Yet again, no profit.

I fail to see where I am making profit?

I highly doubt anybody works at a shop with the intention of making money off of EP purchases. The upside about getting deals on product is being able to have more hands on personal experience to actually know what you are talking about.
