I have an el-chepo Pyramid F-8 cyclometer that I absolutly love. Mostly because it has a scan function that's been hard to find on more expensive models. I finally got my new Cannondale R600 (Slice Fork) last week and I want to move the cyclometer.
The problem is that the pickup on the F-8 can only be mounted so that it points directly at the wheel, which leave barely enough space for the forks to clear and zero space for the magnit to mount on a spoke. I tried to off set the pick up but it won't read the magnet.
The holes for the cable ties on the pickup are directly on the back. If they were on the side I could mount the pickup on the leading edge of the fork and I think it would work.
I think I'm out of luck and the price of a more expensive cyclometer.
