Who's in? My teammates and I just got the last registration spots in the 3's. Anybody done the race in the past and have any info on the courses?

I did the race last year. Saturday is your basic industrial crit. Four corners, decent pavement. The TT is around a 10 mile loop that is basically flat on moderate pavement. You are lucky yours is in the morning. Mine last year in the 5's was around 3pm and it was like 105 F and no shade. The road race on Sunday is Rolling course with some stretches of really bad pavement. It is generally not a very selective course. If you can TT well you will have a good chance. I was looking forward to doing this race again this year and even got together a TT bike but Family and work responsibilities are not going to let me. Good Luck.

Beat you by 4 hours. HA!!
Just kidding. I'll definitely see you there. I'm looking forward to taking the TT bike out. I haven't had many opportunities yet this season. Flat road races are not really my thing, but I'll do my best to make things interesting.

Should be fun. Did you have a TT bike in Vegas?

i did the race a few years back when it was by points which suits me much better since i can't tt at all and had to settle with winning the crit and the rr. all races are by time now according to the last race announcement that i looked at. they move the s/f of the rr every once in a while sometimes its at the rollers when i did it the s/f was at the end of the downhill. there's a very shallow climb more like a false flat really and some rollers across the top and a long downhill. like what was mentioned earlier the course is not enough to really break things up but you will whittle away the some of the weaker ones at the back. i think our group was down from about 45 at the start to 15 or 20 at the finish in the front group

I didn't have a TT bike in Vegas, I was still building it up. I've only had one chance to race it so far, so I'm looking forward to using it.

Probably doesn't matter to much. My friends are both better at TT's than I am, so I'll probably be working for one of them anyway.

Well, I just realized that this is going to be a pretty tough weekend. A 10 mile TT followed by a 30 mile crit on Saturday followed by 68 mile RR on Sunday. That'll probably be a solid 375+ TSS. Recovery is going to be very important.
