Okay, I've checked all the boxes in my control panel that say that I want to recieve email notification when someone replies to one of my subscribed threads. Why am I still not recieving any emails? I'm sure it's just something simple I'm overlooking...

When you reply to a thread, go to the "Go Advanced" button below the Quick Message box. When you click on that, there should be an option below the box that says Thread subscription that appears with a dropdown box that says "Instant notification by email". If it's not selected, you can choose that in the drop down box. It does work, believe me- I get about 90 email notifications per day because I'm too lazy to deselect that option.

If you clicked on a Reply for a post, when the text box appears, you should see the Thread subscription box right away, and you can check the drop down box next to it to make sure the Instant email notification is selected.

Drop us a PM if you still can't get your notification.

Okay, thanks. I'll see if that works (it was selected, but maybe the "quick reply" doesn't work? I actually have to go to the long way to submit a reply).

Quick reply works as long as you click on the "Go Advanced" button below the reply box and then check to make sure the "Instant notification by email" is selected.

Do you get any emails from the forums?

I used to get the community update type emails and all the emails from my subscribed threads before you changed the website. Ever since, I don't get anything.

Velo: Check your subscriptions page: http://www.bikeforums.net/subscription.php?do=viewsubscription

Under "Subscription Type", what is sellected? Are all the threads listed there?

Do you use the quick reply, or advanced reply screen? I'll have to check and see if quickreply subscribes you by default. I know we had this same problem before the upgrade.

Ok, thanks... I wonder if it has somethign to do with having the "Receive Emails?" option turned off. That should be from users only, but it may be a bug in the software.

Try turning that on and see if it works. (http://www.bikeforums.net/profile.php?do=editoptions)

They all say "Instant notification by email". All the threads are there.

I used the quick reply, but even using the advanced reply with "instant notification by email" checked, I don't recieve them.
