I'd love to, I've never ridden in or around Pasadena before, in fact, I've never even BEEN there!

You are living in Irvine. Have you ever ridden with any of the local bike clubs? I ride with the Bicycle Club of Irvine which has about 700 members.

Yes, I've ridden with them and also with Members from the Irvine Club, I also ride with Sand Canyon Cyclery (my LBS since I moved to Irvine) on Wednesdays when I can get away from work on time and my wife does the Ladies' ride on Thursdays...

Mostly though, I normally ride with a group of Friends or by myself in the mornings before work...I live right on the Backbay trail which is a fantastic place to take off from in any direction...

How about you?

I ride to San Canyon Cyclery quite often. It is about a 30 mile ride round trip to Sand Canyon from my house. I also ride every Saturday with the Irvine Bike Club and may start riding with them on Sundays when they begin bear training for the Bear Century. I don't know if I am up for the Bear Century, but the training I hear is excellent.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I ride at night, if I have to. Night rides are not as much fun as day rides, but it is better than using a stationary bike in my garage.

The Backbay is a great place to ride! BCI has a few rides that go through there and I really enjoy not having to listen to cars buzz past me.
