Looking for an intro bike. The Gary Fisher piranha or the KHS elite 3000. The KHS is a new 2006 soas a closeout it is a great buy. I am in FL so no big hills just some fun trail rides. I am 6'3 230lbs. Thanx Addison

I can't say a good or bad thing about the KHS - never been on one, but just bought an 08 Piranha and love it. I was used to riding an older GF Tassajara that was pretty lightweight and appeared to have a thin frame (the bars were not real beefy). The Piranha has a much heftier frame and the fork is a little heavier than I was used to, but I think I really just upgraded to a sturdier bike. I will say, that it flies down the trails. You just point it downhill and hold on. I am not afraid to carry a little speed and go through a rock garden. I've only ridden it three times, but have enjoyed every second.
