I've used patches on my latex race tubes. They're fine so far.

I'm wondering the same thing.
I have a nearly new Dugast Paris-Roubaix tubular with a pinhole puncture through the tread, silk casing and latex tube. Attempting to fix it the old-fashioned way will take a long time, be a lot of hassle and based upon an honest assessment of my repair skills, may do more harm than good. At the very least it will use up next month's quota when it comes to profane language. If a few grams of Tufo sealant will take care of it without damaging the tube I would much prefer to fix it that way.

Tire Alert looks like a wonderful service, but the combination of international postage rates and the propensity of the Swedish postal authorities to charge a combined 30%+ in import duties and VAT on stuff from outside the EU worth over about $50 (new or used) means that it would make more sense for me to ship them back to Belgium rather than to Florida.
