Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Nother question! Handlebars

Okay guys I obviously appreciate all your advice and support, Now another question.

My Fuji has flat handlebars, and I am thinking of changing those to 1.5" risers any thoughts which will be better for my bike? (Fuji Odessa 1.0 MTB)

Handlebars are totally individual preference IMO.

That being said, I have greatly enjoyed my Nashbar treking bars. Lots of hand positions, and comfortable for the long haul.

On BFmember had these bars and put some ergo grips on as well. That would probably be as good as it gets! (for me anyway)

Just remember, the fuji will not fit drops w/o replacing the stem. You may want to consider bar ends or ergo-grips first before completely swaping out bars.

Why not get a new, steeper stem or even an adjustable one? There's no hassle with swapping the grips, shifters and lights and you don't lose any of the useful space where the "rise" is. With the adjustable stem you can also play around to find out if 1", 1.5" or 2" is more comfortable for you.

Another question... ...whats next, do you want us to come ride the bike for you too:D... ..just kidding

I was wondering why do you want to change the bars? Not comfortable? Don't like the look? Want more hand locations? If it was the comfort you might be sitting wrong a seat adjustment and some gloves could solve that. Also some more comfortable grips might help. If you want more hand locations try a set of bolt on bar ends. There cheep and easy to put on. If you don't like the look then just get what you want I guess. If you could narrow down what your looking to do we could fine tune the advice.
