We're canceling the race scheduled for tomorrow March 16 due to the forecast snow from 4AM till Noon. Wimpy, I know, but it's a lot less of a hassle calling it a day prior.

Next race March 30 as we skip Easter Sunday March 23. For Easter weekend I'd recommend (in CT) the Plainsville Series on Saturday March 22 which is where I'll be racing.

Thanks CDR, I gave a couple of pals of mine who were going there the news. We appreciate it.

Now if somebody would only cancel Central Park my life would be complete.

As soon as I made the call, I told the missus that it would probably be 75 and sunny since I canceled. And if I didn't, it'd snow a few inches and we'd be out almost two large for nothing.

I did manage to sleep until 9:30 AM, much later than my normal 4 or 5 AM, so I think I partially canceled because I needed it to be canceled. And the co promoter ended up dealing with a family emergency until the wee hours of the morning so it was just a blessing in disguise.

Sorry for wimping out. I promise to ride in the rain this week to make up for it.

Only riding in the snow, casting aside your Campy, and lighting candles in devotion to the Sisters of the Holy Order of Dura Achee can possibly begin to redeem your immortal velo soul. Which is no guarantee some testosterone crazed Cat 2 from NJ won't beat the living crap out of you next week after he drove to Bethel for nothing today.

You are correct however, by canceling the race you guaranteed there would be no snowfall south of Burlington VT. Had you let the race run there would have been 12" of snow. The entire Mid-Atlantic and Southern New England Region is in your debt. But they don't race bikes.
