Touring - Dempster Hwy and Hwy 37

I am doing a several month tour this summer and I am looking to include Hwy 37 North (http://www.th.gov.bc.ca/popular-topics/driver_info/route-info/hwy37/hwy37.htm) and the Dempster Hwy (http://www.iti.gov.nt.ca/parks/highway_routes/dempster.htm) into my trip.

I have read a bit about people touring the Dempster, but not much of anything about hwy 37. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either and would like to share it with me, either on here, or if willing, in a more in depth way through email or something.

I've read most of the 'crazy guy on a bike' journals that include the dempster, but I cannot find one yet that include hwy 37.

Get a Milepost guide if you haven't already. It details all the stops and other features along the way. The 2008 edition comes out in Mar or May (I forget which month).

If you ride the Stewart Cassair,take the side trip into Stewart, the Blue glacier is worth the jaunt then check out Hyder,Alaska and get Hyderized if you are over 21,don't forget to take your passport or good I.D. to get back into Canada. Also make sure you have beaucoup film or memory for your camera.Be prepared for long days without much traffic on the road and NOT many places for loading up with food.Most places marked as communities on the various maps are the"blink and you'll miss them" type even riding a bike.Dease Lake,Stwart,and Meziaden Junction are the only real sort of stops that I can remember on the road until you reach Watson Lake.Enjoy the journey.

The Cassiar Highway is a nice ride, I'd do it again. Definitely take the side trip into Stewart/Hyder. The scenery into Stewart is breathtaking.
