Foo - Wild Weather here in GA! (Atlanta members check in.......)

If you've been following the news, you'll have seen the footage of downtown Atlanta from last night's Tornado. I'm on vacation, about 60 miles south of downtown and we could see this storm to the north. It's been a wild and bumpy night and morning in Hotlanta! Atlanta people, check in!:eek:

I just got in from riding Tour de Pike, down here in Ga, annd when I get home, I'll have the report in Clydes/Athena subforum, along with pics. Meanwhile, all th e weather is looking to stay to our North. :) Among others, I met our own ModoVincere! Great guy! Also Bill, anoter member, but I can recall his user name to save my soul!

Good to know that you are all right! Woohoo, it's always fun to meet members, so ModoVincere must also have photos :D . Did you meet RonH as well? What kind of bike does Bill ride?

Baseball sized hail, rotation on the ground. They have the tornado up on the traffic cams!

It's rolling over the same area as last night too.

Last night's weather went north of us last night.
However, my old house on Jackson Ave. (or what was left of it) was the backdrop for one of the local reporters. Took the roof, a lot of the second floor, the front porch and the oak tree out front, off of the property.

Hope things are going well. That is very freakish weather... weather that belongs in Texas (we Texans are used to the twisters and golf ball sized hail), not over in your neck of the woods.

I understand y'all are on fire now. I thought y'all just went through flood season.

Checking in...was a wild 24-36 hours of weather here in the ATL area.
Nothing too severe near my home, just a lot of rain and a good light show.
Downtown Atlanta took a beating.
