A sparkling morning sun broke through the clouds here in Mo' and I had my trusty point-n-shoot Canon that DG recommended a few years ago....so I pedaled on downtown to "the AMGEN". I was surprized at how friendly, casual, approachable the riders mostly were-- joking with kids, signing autographs, posing for pics with gray-haired grandmas, etc....all on what was to be a tough day up Mt. Hamilton & Sierra Road.
Here's a few pre-race pics:

Levi ntent on winning-- quite a day and quite a finish in San Jose.

Millar?

For all us old guys who still ride Regals...#134 rider Caleb Manion and I share the same butt, except maybe for size.

Funny how I am not interested in getting involved in racing myself- but I follow racing as avidly as most of you watch the professional game of rounders that you have over there. Great to see the racers in full swing so hope you enjoyed the day and it must be Millar. Slipstream but wearing his UK Championship colours.

Great pics.

And it will not be too many years before the TDF returns to the UK. Apparantly the French liked the reception we Brits gave them. Must be the first time we have done something they liked since 1944.

Hey CC, did you follow them up Mt. Hamilton? I heard it could be tough :D

Well, yes, George....I got about a quarter mile up Mt. Hamilton and then rolled back down backwards. But that's an exaggeration. Actually, I watched the climb on the jumbotron with my feet up. Then I pedaled 4 miles back home. Mostly downhill.

It sounds like something I would do. Nice to see you back.
