The Numenorean kings had left behind a pale remnant of past glories of Elvish splendours on Middle Earth, for after the incomprehensible falls of Saruman and then, even, Sauron, to end an age, Frodo had built a mountain bike using Radagast as mentor. Gollum's ingenuity at escaping from Orcs, hobbits, and other beings had earned his naturally sly, craven nature a warm place in the heart of the halfling.
The pedals were made wide and long for hobbit-feet (relative to the bike, that is), and since Frodo had been ingesting high-protein milkshakes and other dietary aids in the Shire in those times, he was even able to use Radagast as a confederate, who after initial beginning stages of trail workouts began trailing along in a sort of very large child's trailer. It was named a trailer, for being a product of new dwarvish art, as were some of the bike components like the derailleur and brake cables, it also contained a plethora of telepathic as well as espionage and combat tools.
The bike itself was made to look like either a small shrub or rodent-like creature, while the trailer of Radagast could pose as either a cloud of dust-like smoke or a fierce but very small Balrog.
Frodo pedalled along a new mtb trail bordering the River Sirith on the journey away from the former Barad-Dur.
"Radagast the Brown?!" came a donkey's braying from the side opposite the wide river.
"Nay, my friend."
"Radagast you appear to be; howsoever may it be you are *not* Radagast?"
"Run along with us, for you from Frodo the halfling an explanation is forthcoming."
Then Radagast, who now wore tan, explained all that had happened concerning the fate of this particular donkey to the donkey in question, which included the fact that he, Radagast, had taken himself back from the east to Middle Earth by means of a raft pulled by seven sizable octopi.
Radagast and Frodo parted company with the donkey after several minutes, then got down to their business plans of gathering the horses of Gondor and Rohan to subjugate certain now strategically important parts of the Dead Marshes of Middle Earth and make life hard on the Ents, whom they would then use to invade and make their own the land of the Blue wizards of the North of Middle Earth.
Frodo bunny-hopped over a dead tree branch, then tail-whipped to allow Radagast the Tan to traverse it also.
Radagast began to cast spells left and right when they came upon the equine friends of Radagast, while Frodo maneuvered through plenty of the horse herds for him, which had been the choice mounts of the descendants of Boromir and Faramir. They were enabling these horses to access their own particular dislike for Men of Middle Earth, as was Sauron when he brought into existence the nine rings that nearly permanently bound the race of Men to Mordor in the previous age of Middle Earth. The hobbit did this by outfoxing the horses through the clever and skillful construction of his bicycle; Radagast complemented sometimes, sometimes led, by skills learned from Gandalf with his steed Shadowfax. Mainly, however, he empathized with their plight while at the same time making the horses manipulate each other as never before, even to the point of raiding the Dead Marshes.
