Cedric Gracia. And as far as Ihave heard that was his first ever backflip.

My buddy shot the footage and I edited it. Great trip we had out there. We rode every day, watched the freeride superstars every afternoon, and partied all night.

As for Cedric's backflip, he'd learned to do it the day prior and pulled one in prelims, but not on this particular jump. He wasn't quite sure what he'd do for his last run, as he already had the competition sewn up with a flawless first run...this one was just for fun, and he had a helmet cam on. So he decided a few minutes before his run, to do a backflip. He mentioned it in french to one of the guys who came with me on the trip...he's french as well, and it was their little secret untill he unleashed it for the crowd. Definitely one of the single greatest freeride runs I've ever seen. It's hard to put in perspective how big he was going up top. I mean, those drops were hideously huge and he was just popping them like it was no big deal.

Oh yeah, and the footage near the beginning that's a little dark? Well, my buddy was shooting this stuff of us dropping a road gap and a cliff drop, (I'm the one on the V10), but it was right around sunset when we did it, so I pulled the best quality feed I could off his digicam. I actually have some more RBR footage that I'll try to put together later. I also have Cedric's run as a stand alone vid with a different soundtrack. I'll post that on it's own soon.

I know I am...with the snow coming and the trails closing down and the sun here at 5pm (I get off work at 5pm) it is the only way I can vent my needs as a rider :)

Ugh, I guess living in Southern California I don't think of the fact that some areas really don't get 12 months of riding a year. Well, if you're anything like the other BC Canadians I met this Summer while riding for 8 days, you'd be welcome her in SoCal for a tour of some good winter riding (no snow, not muddy, just fun!)

Today is the first day I've seen blue sky above me in about a week, but no fires so far in Orange County. We're just getting the smoke from LA, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Diego county fires.....all the counties surrounding us are en fuego, but luckily things are good here. State parks and National Forest lands are closed right now which means only the Regional and City Parks are open for riding right now, but with so many people losing homes and loved ones in the area, it's hard to justify *****ing about not having trail access for a few days.

Well someday I want to make it to cali. I have to get my money together for the trip though...but I would be more than interested in riding with ya. I have been trying to get down there to ride with dbd for a while now.
