I was thinking of going for an hour ride or so after LAX circuit race. Anyone have a suggestion where I can ride in that area?

You should work on your headwind/crosswind riding. Do it repeatedly.

To get to the beach path go to the West end of the course, take a left on Pershing and a right on Imperial Hwy.

Instead of "car back" it's "plane back!!" but you probably wouldn't be able to hear someone yell it. Just scatter off to the side, keep your head low, and hold on for dear life with the plane's wake of air.;)
