Hi everyone!

My husband and I love Helen's cycles in Santa Monica but would love to find something more local for quick trips.

Where do you go and why do you love it?

Universal Cycles on Cahuenga in U City is a second generation shop with some great guys who have taken care of me wonderfully for many years. Tell them I sent you.:)

Second on Universal Cycles, Owen is very cool and they do good work in their shop. Spoke n Wheels in West Hills (I think) is another shop I stop by, Gary is wonderful to work with and super friendly. Lastly, Montrose Cycles is where "my man" Brian hooked me up with my Specialized Tarmac. He really went out of his way to make sure I got what I wanted. All the guys mention are not only great folks, but they know their stuff! Where are you located?

Where are you located?

Some call it the armpit of the valley, but I call Reseda home ;)

Thanks for all the suggestions... I may swing by Universal Cycles-- mama needs a new pair of shoes :)

The fellas at Universal are fabulous...we bought our rigs from them. Rob and his crew at H&S in Burbank (on Victory 1 blk East of Buena Vista) are great as well. Great service from the both shops. Don't know that side of the valley to well.

Cheers

Another vote for Cycle World (www.cycleworldbikes.com). They have excellent service and a nice selection. btw most of these shops give a 10-15% discount if you happen to be a member of the San Fernando Valley Bicycle Club (www.sfvbc.org).
