Hi,
I am thinking about putting together a wheelset for my wife's blue bike. It would have blue tires and blue Open Pro rims. I was wondering what my choices were in blue tires. I found the Vittoria Corsa CX, which I have heard is an awesome tire, but mucho $$. Does any blue tire come in 25c? Anyway, thanks, do you think that would be too much blue? her Strada is a dark blue, the rims and tires would be lighter, I don't think it would be too much; but would apprecite your thoughts.

YOu could also get the Hutchinson Carbon Comp in blue, Kenda Concept, or Michellin pro race. I'm sure one of them would go up to 25c.

I don't think it would be to much blue.

Blue rims are ugly.

I've seen Michelin tires with the blue stripes, and I seen ads for Continental Grand Prix 3000s' that say you can get them in different colors.

The current Colorado Cyclist catalog has the blue Conti Grand Prix 3000 for $39.99 each. That's a good price but they only have 23s.

Go with black rims. If she ever decides to change color
sceams, you won't be stuck with blue rims. Besides black
rims look good with any color tire.

Hi Roadrider,
I have black rims on my bike. I'm not sure I like the idea of black rims on a dark blue frame. Perhaps because I am considering a ligher and smoother riding wheelset on my bike(next year, if I get lucky)... I have just gone off the idea of black rims. But I do appreciate your reply, and all the replies I have received. I might go with blue tires, and leave it at that. If it was just the tires; I could afford the Vittoria Corsa.

I just saw a pair of wheels on e-bay with blue open pro rims.. lower end hubs but they are not very expensive either.

Go black rims, black spokes, blue anodized nipples and blue CK hubs!

Slick!

My wife's bike has blue CXP-33 rims, with red Michelins. Of course it's the USA scheme cannondale, so it's a good look.

silver rims, silver spokes, blue and black tires.
Vittoria Rubino tires (Not rubino pro's) are available
in 25c blue.
I like the look of the old Mavic SSC blue tubular rims
other than that I prefer silver (matt or chromed!).
