I have a used JM recumbent trike, an older version. I like it, but the manufacturer isn't responding. I've been trying to get a second mirror mount for the right side from the manufacturer since January with no luck. Now I am trying to find alternatives.
Here's what the current one looks like, and where it attaches (see photos):

Any ideas *much* appreciated!
Thanks!

Don't think they made one for the right. No parts available.

The oval one right? Looks just like the one I got from NashBar that just goes in the end of the handlebar. Shouldn't be any problem sticking on on the right side too. I get more than enough adjustment on mine that it could go on either side. In fact, I've been thinking about getting one for the right side on my bent.

I've got the mirror I want for the right side. I just need the mirror POST (which will work on either side of the trike) to mount the mirror on/attach the mirror to. I've got no way to attach the mirror on the right side.
Click here to view the photo of the existing mirror post. I need something that looks like this.

Any half-way decent machine shop or welding shop should have no problem mirroring the existing post you now have. It looked like there was a mounting pad on the right side of the trike. Is that correct? So all you need is the post! Go to your favorite LBS and ask who does their frame repair (welding, etc.) and you're on your way!

Getting one made would be at about $75-100 per hour - and how long would it take to construct one? an hour? an hour and a half? - I am hoping to find an existing trike mounting post to attach the mirror that I bought. An existing mounting post might only cost $15-$30... I've already been spending a lot buying a used trike and lots of accessories (panniers, lights, safety vest, great new flag with *reflective stripe!* etc.) Thanks, though. I'll keep it in mind.
