Hi everyone, I didnt know which forum to put this in so apologies in advance.

Ive been wanting a mini U-lock for a while now and saw these so I ordered one:

http://www.allterraincycles.co.uk/product/2301.html

However I've just done some research and apparently they can be picked by a bic pen lid?! was that the earlier version of this and have they changed this flaw?

or is it the same deal and I should cancel my order and get another mini U-lock??

in which case whats a good alternative mini U-lock?

any suggestion would be greatly appreciated! :)

you are thinking of locks from like 2004

the current kryptonite line is fine

everyone uses those mini evolutions, they are great

Lemme just recommend that you also check out the OnGuard Bulldog Mini TC. It's the same size, shape and weight as the Kryptonite, offers as much or more security, but only costs like $25.

you're fine, all the locks they're selling now can't be picked w/ a ballpoint. i have it, love it.

thanks everyone whos posted. I've found both the evolution mini and the onguard bulldog for pretty much the same price (£20) so if they're both just as strong and can't be picked by a pen lid, then I'll stick with my order of the evolution mini, as I've read its a little lighter than the bulldog. I love this forum! thanks everyone :)
