A coworker of mine told me about a some messengers out west (Winnepeg?) who won a case against their employer. Apparently the Supreme Court ruled that they had to be assured a minimun salary, paid more for overtime, given paid vacation... and all the other benefits usually associated with employment.
Has anyone heard about this? Any deets?
people get paid overtime? can someone tell my boss this - i have worked a few 100+ hour weeks, but only get paid for 40.

Yeah, so this should be pretty authoritavive on what companies are allow to do. What I find weird is that: should'nt this gone before a provincial court before going to the SCoC? Maybe it did and they lost. Or maybe labour is under national jurisdiction.
