I'm gonna ride up Angeles Crest this Saturday turning on Angeles Forest to Upper Big Tujunga and taking that back to AC. From there it's up to Newcombs Ranch for a break and who knows after that. Probably meet at the Shell Station at Foothill and the 210 fwy at 8ish.

I've been wanting to do the Crest before the week is over, so I might join you. Where exactly is Newcombs Ranch? I've only been as far up as Upper Big T before.

What's the mileage from AC and Foothill and back?

Sounds like a nice 55 mile route? That will make a nice 65 from my house. I'll try to get my teammate to try this instead of the usual Montrose ride. He needs a good climbing workout. And with that, Mark and I are off to climb Aliso and Big T today!!!

Count one more. 99% sure, unless my wife's sunburn requires extra attention.

Nevermind. I need to be on call in case she needs to go to the hospital. I'll be at home contemplating suicide (not really, but I wanted to pass some of the drama on to you :D ) Do try to have fun even without me!

We had a really nice ride up there today. It was warm and sunny with just a little wind on Upper T. That's a hard 9 miles. Saw some of the dirtiest snow I've ever seen around Charlton. Looked more like a pile of dirt than snow.:rolleyes:Laura and I did Wilson on the way back. Finished with 83 miles and 9k+ A good ride with some nice company.

+1 Awesome, Bob! :)
I did 53 miles in the Santa Monicas. Latigo kicked my butt in a big way. 4,700 feet of climbing later and I'm pooped. 9K+ just sounds daunting, to say the least!

We didn't see Bob, but we went up AC to Upper BigT, and down Big T for about 85 miles. Good group, waaay to fast for me, but they kept waiting. It was a little warm toward the end. I'm beat!
Forgot to mention Sarah is faster than ever, she's climbing really well. And Edina was there, too. She has come a long way in a short time, even did a race, (Dash for Cash).

Didn't see that, but I did see all the Mazdas. They were safe and gave me plenty of room. I was off the back when the main group got to the cafe. At that point Keith and Stan went up over Mill Creek and down Aliso to Soledad and home that way.
Dolophonic, where did you start?

Thanks, Shai for the picture taking! I love the shot of me hidden by my camera/phone! :D
And the back of my head as I'm pigging out on the GREAT apple pie from the cafe! A really nice (warm) ride.
