Hey folks,
A question from a novice here...
Late last year I bought a brand new Cayne Uno single speed. I'm currently
riding it free wheel (not fixed) as a commuter. When I first got the bike
the chain was very tense; maybe 1/8" of slack. Now, after 400+ miles of
commuting, it seems pretty loose: over 1" of slack. I was told the new
chain would probably stretch. I assume that's what's going on right now.
I'm wondering if any of you might be able to suggest the best way to adjust
the chain tension? Would also welcome any suggestions on how to maintain
good tension on a long-term basis.
FYI -- the bike has rear horizontal dropouts similar to the Surly Steamroller.
As always, your expertise and generosity are much appreciated!
