Hello everyone,

I've been lurking here for a while in the commuting and touring sections; but it took me a while to sign up. I currently ride a 1993 Hardrock Sport with slicks, but it's too small for me. I'm looking into a new (and larger!) touring bike for commuting, light touring, and maybe a century this summer. I'm going to start checking out the local shops this week.

Cool! It's always nice to have a new member in the PNW :D . Where exactly are you located, and what centuries are you looking to do?

I'm in Kent...

Welcome to BF!

Thanks East Hill,

I'm in Seattle between Capitol Hill and the UW. A friend wants to do the Seattle Century and it seems like a good ride to start with for longer distances.

Remember to check into the regional forum for us PNWers--you could very well run into some other members on that ride.

Unfortunately, I am not doing that one myself...
