Hey guys,
I've been pointed in your direction by one of your members.
In Sep 2008 (10th to be exact) I will be commencing a bike ride from Calais -> Canne with an aim to complete it in under three weeks. It's approximately a 1100 mile ride.
The target is to do it in under three weeks (so by the 1st October) which means I will have to average about 60 miles per day. Accomodation along the trip will be mostly camping with maybe the odd hotel stay along the way.
I've already got a few sponsors & am looking for more, aswell as anyone else who would like to come along for the trip. The more, the merrier.
The proceeds of the trip will be going to the LAF (Lance Armstrong Foundation), I am in the process of getting set up as one of their Grassroots Fundraisers.
I am an amateur cyclist who is quite unfit at the minute, 5 months of training to come! Lots of hard work to be able to do this.
I'll be doing a couple of video diaries along the way to note my progress as I work towards the trip & a good few during the trip itself.
So anyone who would be willing to come along / support me, please drop me a message. It would be greatly appreciated.
Jon
