Alright, I'm building up a road frame conversion fixed/single speed. I'm starting with 1999 GT Edge 54cm road frame. I'm getting it powdercoated right now semi matte Black with slight texture... I'm going for a stealth look here, All parts wheels everything except for some bolts exposed cables and braking surface's... will be blacked out
But when i get it back I'm going to install a 1" thread-less headset and a brand new 1" steerer kinesis carbon fork.
But my real question is this, my drop outs like most road frames have semi vertical dropouts... Not horizontal ...will this be a problem with chain tension? and with keeping the wheel in place bolted down?
And could I use a normal road wheel set with with spacers on the freewheel? or would you recommend a flip flop hub with bolts...?
