Hi all
Planning on doing the Lewis and Clark east to west starting in
mid July or 2nd week of August.
Will I have to worry about getting over the passes before snow falls and closes
them in?
I plan on going close to ultralight.
About 20 pounds at most.
Thanks

I haven't ridden the L&C, but I lived in Kalispell MT ( north of Missoula) for 3 years. In the northern rockies snow storms can happen anytime after Labor day. Though big snow falls usually don't come until late September-early October, temporary road closures over passes can happen at anytime. Some parks and many private campgrounds close after labor day weekend.
