Introductions - From Switzerland

I'm a 34-year American (Iowa) living in Switzerland. I run bike tours out of Geneva (4 a year crossing from West to East), but otherwise earn a living teaching English and training teachers. Of course, I'd love to talk to people about my trips, but am also quite happy to give advice to anyone doing anything self-contained in Switzerland or Eastern France.

Leading tours in Switzerland and teaching English...I must say, that's a fat gig.

In '01, a friend and I rode from Geneva, up the Rhone valley, over Simplon pass, and down to Lago Maggiore. It was absolutely beautiful, despite the heavy industrial ambiance. It was probably the arse of the Alps, but I was still impressed. I'm sure that if we continued East, we would have seen magnificent things. Or we could have died from exposure, who knows?

Bring us the news about Switzerland. Every thing you tell us here will be at least temporarily archived, so you can even communicate with those in the future.

I guess you get enough opportunities to speak Ami English with your tour groups. In case you ever decide to take the harder way over Pillon to Interlaken, give me a mail and I'll try to have enough drinks for everybody.
