Foo - Dumbest **** You Own

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Nice, very nice :) .
Let me see, we have a very nice, unused snake trap.
Would anyone like it?

I guess that the dumbest thing I own would be me. Anyone wanna trade?
Actually since I moved - and moved quickly out of a space I've occupied for 22 years, hence - 22 years of "stuff", I got rid of a ton of useless stuff.
So ... I have no "stuff" :D
However, give me a couple more holidays and I'm sure my Mother will have foisted some new "stuff" onto me ...
I own a bugle. DON'T ASK!!

If you ever kill it, the gold in the circuits is worth extracting. The old machines manufacturing used gold threading over ten times as thick as what is used now.

A television set.
A cane-sword I picked up for $20. It rattles when carried, has no bottom (so pretty much its a sword in a screw-on aluminum pipe), and is made from some low grade Chinese stainless steel. It sits right by a cane-sword that was hand-forged in Texas out of a very high grade of carbon steel, no rattles, and is decently sharp (any sharper, it the edge would wear too much.) However, the second cane-sword was a lot more expensive, but its definitely worth it.

A betta fish. It's pretty darn stupid. Proof? It watches TV and does nothing else when someone turns the set on. It even ignores food if I put it in the bowl while the TV is on. Oh, and it also tries to attack the little decorative fish hanging from the decorative fisherman's rod.

Yeah, I did learn my first programming on that computer though, with Basic and Assembler Machine Language, though. I've actually thought about gutting it and dropping modern boards, a dual core rpocesser and CRT in it and adding some USB ports and ethernet, just for fun. :D Make it a TRS-80 in name only, and get it net and game ready. Could you imagine the comments after saying something like I'm online using a TRS-80? :p

I have a 5x4x1ft humidor cabinet with glass doors, I don't have any cigars, it holds golf balls and empty cigar boxes and other crap. I need to stay away from garage sales.
Could you imagine the comments after saying something like I'm online using a TRS-80? :pWouldn't surprise me if someone has done just that. Someone designed and built an ethernet card for Apple II computers (IIe and IIgs at least, not sure if it works with a II+ or a standard II. No room in a IIc/IIc+, obviously.), and there are web browsers that will run on a IIe, and probably graphical browsers for the IIgs' GS/OS. I think I've seen at least a hacked-together method for getting a Commodore 64 online as well.
One time, in 2000 or 2001, in a bout of frustration with my computer at the time (specifically its Windows operating system), I threw the computer in the closet, pulled out a Macintosh SE/30*, and set it up on my desk. It took some work, but with the right collection of hardware and software, I got it online. WWW, email, and possibly IRC. I think that was my main computer for about a month.
* Circa 1989, 1-bit, 512x342 screen, 16MHz Motorola 68030 CPU, this one was upgraded to 32MB of RAM and a 1GB hard drive. This same computer has at times run various incarnations of the Macintosh System (6.0.x - 7.5.5 or 7.6.1, my favorite was 7.1), A/UX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A/UX), and some kind of BSD, probably Net.**
** Hmm, I guess this toaster Mac pimped out with rare, expensive, and just plain weird hardware and software might qualify as being pretty damn dumb. :)

I have a Vanilla Ice CD. Two CASES of wood Q-Tips. A Ghillie Suit. .30-06 ammo, but no gun. A complete set of dental tools. A speculum (OB/GYN duckbill for those that don't know). Canadian money, Just kidding, i actually collect it in case Obama becomes President. An old reel-to-reel projector. My daughter says the Stuffed African Steenbok mounted on my wall. It was the world record for a few months. My daughter has a backpack full of porn she hates, but doesn't throw out. My wife has a collection of AC adaptors dating back to your TRS-80. A speedo (Banana hammock). I look like Bigfoot stuck in an inner tube.

Oh its real allright! I picked it up at a flea market for $8.00, had it on my living room wall till my oldest got married and got her own place (thats when I gave her the pic) I picked her up today so she could spend a bit of time with us (she was off work) and there it was still on her wall  I asked her when she was going to get rid of it and she said,"What are you crazy! Thats the coolest thing in the world!" well that and the David Bowie Glass Spider Tour 2 CD and 1 DVD set I bought her yesterday ;) she was happy :) I love my daughter :D

One of the first machines I ever used as well, we rented it when we were in high school to log in to the school's mainframe using those rubber phone cradles. I love the idea of retrofitting and spanking new box in the old case, that would be hilarious. I picture the look on your friend's face after you point to it when they ask if they can check their email while visiting your place.
