Have one friend say it's the best upgrade he's ever done.
Another say "why" ? for half the cost, I can get a computer that also has temperature, altimeter, Etc...

So is the cost (Approx $100) worth it?

(oops - wrong forum. How to I move/delete this ?)

Yes it is worth it. Works well and complments your Shimano Groupset. Usefull feature is the gear selection bubbles on the LCD

the gear indicator and the cadence makes it worth it for me...

This is why I was willing to part with my cash for the Flightdeck:

- Ability to change functions on the computer from the hoods

- Cadence with no additional hardware (not a single wire or additional sensor on the bike)

- Graphical indicator of current gear

It was worth it for me. Your mileage may vary. :)

It was worth it for me. Your mileage may vary. :)I think it was worth it for exactly these reasons. My only gripe is that you have to remember to manually turn it on. My other computers turn on automatically when the front wheel starts turning.

I see a few on Ebay, but some of the details say this or that...
I'm a bit confused with compatability.
I have '03 105 compoments.
Is/are there older Flight Deck unit's that would not be compatable?
