But... but... you really don't want to miss that last 60 miles of headwinds... on a road that feels like you are going over railroad ties! :fight:

There are dog sitters, you know! Or take Muph with you. She'd dig it.

I don't think the hotel would dig having a big dog couped up in a hotel room for 16 hours.

Teach her to ride on the back of a tandem and act as your stoker. You'd set the precedence in the world of cycling and dog training.

I seem to recall a mantra of cycling:
"If it's not fun, why are you doing it?"

I thought you had fun last year on the Solvang Double. You hated Hemet, but what was there NOT to hate (headwinds, terrible roads, cow **** in the air....etc.). It's the conditions of the ride and not the ride itself.
Of course, I understand that endurance isn't your strong suit, so 200 miles is too much for you.

I just saw the book for some of you "stop whinning, Start Living" by Dr. Laura. What do you think Scoot and ME, we should buy a few and pass them around? :roflmao:

I'd like to do it, but I don't think I can budget a weekend for a ride. Maybe I'll just take a tent on go camping, instead.

I'm already going to be there in September...
Still, I'm thinking about it.
I'm thinking about camping up there in May, too, say up in Horseshoe Meadows.

What's the date on this? Is it still the week after heartbreak? I'm not going to do the double, but I might come up and support you guys. Or just ride the middle 100, which is righteous.

+1. Let's get a road trip, boys!!!! It would be fun. For those who don't want to camp <waving hand>, we can get rooms and split. It will be a blast. It's supposed to be gorgeous up there. I will take the Friday the day before off, and anyone who wants to carpool with me can. Do I hear a chorus of Ninety Nine Bottles of Beer on the Wall?:p :D
