i have a bianchi san jose singlespeed cross bike and i was thinking of throwing some bullhorns and TT brake levers on it....do any of you run bullhorns and do light cross riding? Just wondering how the handling will be...pics are cool too!

If youre planning on racing it, most races wnot let you start with bar ends on a mtb, so I think they would think the same about bullhorns.

Yeah, bullhorns aren't legal in any mass-start race.

I don't think that the handling would be any different than just riding on the hoods.

I used to think that until I used them for a season of commuting. Bull horns are not anything like riding on the hoods. YMMV. :p

Apologies but I must jack this thread :).

Do you guys know if Shimano dual control shifters can be used on bullhorns? Do the ergonomics "work"? I've been thinking of putting bullhorns on my 3x9 road bike.

Multiple triathletes, commuters and time triallists can't be wrong.

Dahon (don't hate) uses a bullhornish bar on their speediest bikes. I think it must work pretty well. All you lose is the full drop position, but gain some style points if you're just spinning around. The bar in question is the Speed Pro TT, and of course won't fit a cross stem, but give you an idea.
