Whats up everyone, live in Brighton, MA, pretty much boston for any that don't know. Started to get back into riding a couple summers ago, just road for now. Used to mtb a TON when i was a lad in RI. Acadia is a fun place to ride. Looking to get even more into it come spring! This is a great site, and glad to have become a member!

Cheers,

Sean

A pic of my current bike is attached, pretty much a mutt, but it works!

Hi Sean, has the snow melted yet? I take it you don't do bicycle commuting? We like to think that BF is the best cycling forum around, bar none!

Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the welcome!

hehehe, how did you know i don't commute? Unfortunately i don't. I have the ideal situation: just under 9 miles to work. on nice back roads. (dont work downtown) EXCEPT there is no shower/locker room at or near my work, and I don't want to be the smelly kid :(

Snow is all melted, but being an avid snowboarder as well, i always have mixed feelings about it!

Thanks:)

hehehe, how did you know i don't commute on a bike? I actually have almost the ideal situation right now: I work outside the city, 9 miles from my house. nice roads. BUT there is no locker room/shower at or near my work, and i dont really want to be that smelly guy.....

Snow is all melted around here, but up north they still have plenty for snowboarding. Need to go a few more times before the season is over!

Too bad about not having a locker room or shower...I know that there are some commuters who are able to use a baby wipe to clean up, but that works well only if there's a place to store clothes and supplies.

Get out there and do some snowboarding, then buckle down and do the cycling. They're both good for you!

Hi Sean! I too would love to commute to work, but the last stretch which takes about 4 min. in car is not safe enough to bike to work. With gas prices these days I would love to bike everywhere I go! It's getting warm enough here to start riding! I rode once last week. Enjoy!

Hahaha, aaahhh the babywipe. The answer to all your hygenic needs! This is true though, i could probably get away with that in the spring, but in the summer, thats a little too warm...

I agree, spring and autumn, but summer is just too sticky--especially as you have no locker room :( .
