hi all.

i'm a pretty avid recreational biker from dc. i have been riding bikes as my main form of transportation for about 6 years now. i took a 4,000 mile cross country ride on my raleigh cadent a couple summer ago from providence to san fran on a program called bike and build.

since then i've been doing more and more work on my own bike and have just started building my own fixie on an IRO frame (one of the few small enough to accommodate a petite rider like myself). any advice would be most welcome.

Hi debrag4, are you car free, or do you bicycle commute? Do you have more details on the Bike and Build program--that sounds like a great way to have fun.

Welcome to BF!

Are you from Provvy? I loved my time in school there and I've heard it's changed a lot since I left 7 years ago.

There's probably a lot of IRO fixie types on the Single Speed forum but you've made a wise choice here - many nice people.
