DANVILLE - The suspect in a Sunday hit-and-run that left two children dead and a Danville family childless was arrested Tuesday in downtown San Jose, ending a three-day, statewide hunt by numerous police agencies.
She's going to be charged with 2 counts of Vehicular Manslaughter.
This lady's liscence had been suspended at least 9 times in the past. What was she doing on the road at all?
At least she has been arrested, only time will tell if she actually serves jail time.

Wonderful. Doesn't help the family of the killed children, but here's hoping the conviction is secured so this incompetent git is never given the opportunity to do this again.

As far as I'm concerned she deserves nothing less then lethal injection! Especially since she left the scene. The fact that she eluded authorities in the manner she did tells me that she knew what she had done and that she was not so drunk she has no memory of it. Had she stopped and stayed at the scene I might feel differantly about it.
(I have some very strong personal reasons as to why I have this attitude and feel this way toward drunk drivers.)
I do have a question about something though: Is BART the acronym for Bay Area Rapid Transit? If not, what does it stand for?
I do hope that the family can somehow find some sort of peace and closure over this, though it will be very difficult to do so. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
John.

Exactly.
The judges who let a nine time drunken driver offender out on the streets are as guilty as the driver who killed the kids.
I wonder how they sleep at night.
The poor use of pronouns in the quote from San Ramon Valley school district spokesman Terry Koehne has more truth in the second interpretation:
"Sycamore Valley Elementary School, which the children attended, has focused on providing emotional support for students, and that the arrest doesn't change that.
But, he said, the children have worried about what they see as an adult behaving irresponsibly, and about a lack of justice.
"I think for kids to see that she's been apprehended will be a clear sign to them that the justice system is working for them,"
Who is the "them for which the justice system is working? Obviously, the system is working to facilitate the offenders.
