You're going about this wrong, Joe. The Underwear Nazi has ridden in temperatures of -20F with howling winds and swirling snows. Put on a lightweight pair of padded shorts for your base layer. Wear tights, longhandles and windpants over them, in that order. Your sweat won't freeze and you will not chafe.

Remember: No underwear under bike shorts for any reason, ever. No excuses.
