Yes. Guess the others forgot how he won that stage in the TdF last year.

Yes.
I love it!
Fabian gives the sprinters the old TimeTrial Middle Finger, once again!
just when i gave up on MSR because of the recent run of boring finishes, ol' Spartacus has to go and pull an Ekimov.

even if fabian didnt hold on for the win I would have still been pretty surprised with the result.

Im not talking about what the actual result would have been im talking about the way it would have been won. I was expecting a much larger group sprint.

the riders looked at each other to decide who would pull back to cancellara, and they decided to just let him go, too much work bike racing...

7 hours of racing... unbelievable.
I hope Cancellara hasn't peaked too early.

I hope Cancellara hasn't peaked too early.
For what?
He's clearly capable of a multi-peak season...he can come into Roubaix still on good (although probably not 100%) form, build up for the Tour and then again for the Worlds.
For what?
Exactly. This is exactly his kind of race. It's not like he's going to win the TdF and since he's not a GC guy he can go hard a couple of days on the Tour, look for a TT win or perhaps a long stage with and then drop out--so there's lots of opportunity for the guy to have multiple peaks.
